Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies)

Education

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert may be preferred.

 

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with a minimum of 3 years in supervisory role in software development, with a focus on mobile applications and business support systems.
  • Proven experience as a solutions architecct or a similar role, demonstrating the ability to design and implement complex systems.

Competencies

 

Professional/Technical Competencies:

  • Technical Expertise: Possess advanced technical knowledge and expertise in solution architecture, software development, and mobile financial services platforms, with a deep understanding of Ericsson Wallet Platforms and related technologies.

Solution Design: Demonstrate proficiency in solution design methodologies, design thinking principles, and architectural patterns, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, efficient, and robust software solutions.

  • Strong understanding of technology infrastructure, cloud computing, and networking principles.
  • Experience with implementing and managing IT service management (ITSM) frameworks such as ITIL
  • Experience in managing third party vendors and partners.

The Manager, Solutions Architect – Mobile & Business Support Systems role is primarily to lead a team of skilled architects in designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions within the Mobile applications and Business Support Systems domain. This involves aligning technological advancements with business objectives to drive innovation and excellence in digital wallet solutions. The role aims to deliver transformative products and services that exceed client expectations and drive value creation for customers, partners, and end-users alike. Through close collaboration with cross-functional teams and leveraging our IT service Provider extensive resources, the Manager, Solutions Architect endeavours to propel the organisation towards continued success in the digital payments landscape.

Job Role 

  1. Senior Manager, Technology Service Delivery:
    • Collaborate closely with the Senior Manager to align solution architecture initiatives with the organization’s technology strategy and objectives.
    • Provide regular updates on project status, resource requirements, and key milestones to ensure alignment with broader business goals.
  2. Product Managers and Business Analysts:
    • Work closely with product managers and business analysts to understand product requirements, market demands, and customer needs, translating them into technical solutions.
    • Participate in product planning sessions, requirement gathering workshops, and product backlog grooming sessions to contribute technical insights and recommendations.
  3. Service Provider Teams:
    • Engage with business analysts and development teams, including software engineers, developers, and testers, to oversee the implementation of solution architecture designs.
    • Provide technical guidance, support, and direction to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards, coding practices, and quality assurance processes.
  4. Third Party Providers and Partners:
    • Collaborate with clients and partners to gather requirements, understand use cases, and define solution architectures that meet their business needs and objectives.
    • Engage in discussions, workshops, and presentations to communicate technical solutions, address concerns, and build consensus around proposed architectures.
  5. IT Operations Teams:
    • Coordinate with IT operations teams to ensure that solution architectures are compatible with existing systems, infrastructure, and deployment environments.
    • Collaborate on capacity planning, performance tuning, and infrastructure provisioning activities to support the deployment and operation of Mobile Applications and Business Support Systems.
  6. Security and Compliance Teams:
    • Consult with security and compliance teams to ensure that solution architectures adhere to security standards, compliance requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
