Skills, expertise, and experience:
Dr. Asare is a Medical Doctor – Public Health Consultant and a Foundation Fellow (Public Health Faculty) of the Ghana College of Physicians & Surgeons (GCPS). She is a former Deputy Director-General of the Ghana Health Service (2013 – 2019); a position she retired from after 34 years of working in various capacities in the Ministry of Health and the Ghana Health Service- including Director of the Family Health Division (2008 – 2013).
She has had a distinguished career in public health with extensive experience in management of health and health-related programmes, advocacy, research and academia; and has served on national and international committees and working groups.
Dr. Asare has lectured on part-time basis in public, private and internationally affiliated schools of public health and medical schools since 1996. She currently lectures and is an independent consultant.
