Sponsorship Criteria
Sponsorship Criteria
This document serves as a concise guide to essential criteria that should be included in any sponsorship proposal.
1. Topical – Clear focus on any of the 3 focus areas of the Foundation – Economic Empowerment, Health and Education.
2. Theme – Proposals must align with the Themes of the Foundation – Empowering for the Future, save a life and Digital skills for Digital Jobs which underpins the Foundations philosophy of Technology for Good.
3. Demonstrate alignment to national priorities vis-à-vis Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
4. Proposals must benefit not less than 5,000 total population of positive project impact
5. Indicate Preliminary feasibility study conducted and demonstrate innovative solutions to address social or environmental challenges.
6. Risk Assessment – The project should identify potential risks (e.g., reputational, financial, operational) and include mitigation strategies.
7. Clear Objectives – The project should have well-defined goals and objectives – presence of clearly defined, observable and measurable indicators against which the performance and impact of the project can be assessed to track progress and evaluate success.
8. Timeline – The project should have a realistic timeline for implementation and achievement of goals.
9. The proposal must enhance opportunities for partnerships and confirmation of genuine, relevant and representative involvement and support of the stakeholders / communities.
10. Clear Objectives – The project should have well-defined goals and objectives – presence of clearly defined, observable and measurable indicators against which the performance and impact of the project can be assessed to track progress and evaluate success.
11. Sustainability – Presence of a quality sustainability plan for the project i.e. life cycle of project, is maintenance required and has there been provision made for this? The project should be designed to create long-term benefits and not rely solely on ongoing Foundation support.
12. Reputation Building – The project should enhance the Company’s reputation as a responsible and ethical organization and generate positive media coverage and public perception.
13. Budget – The project should have a detailed, clear and realistic budget that aligns with the funding of the Foundation with specific details of financial support requested from the Foundation. The project should demonstrate a strong social or environmental ROI relative to the resources invested.
14. Volunteer Opportunities – The project should provide opportunities for employee involvement, such as volunteering or skills-based contributions.
15. Qualified Personnel – Quality of expertise on the project implementation team with irrefutable proof of experience, with at least one similar project previously implemented
16. Legacy – The project should have the potential to have a lasting positive impact on the community or environment
