1. BACKGROUND

The J4U VALENTINE PROMO is a short, targeted promotion for high-Average Revenue per User (ARPU) J4U Subscribers using Entry-Level Smartphones. The objective is to reward high usage by upgrading the devices of two Subscribers with either an IPHONE 14 PRO MAX or SAMSUNG S23+.

2. DEFINITIONS

2.1″Entry-Level Smartphone(s)” means, an affordable, internet-enabled mobile handset designed for basic to moderate smartphone usage, and which meets the following minimum criteria:

• Supports mobile data connectivity (3G, 4G, or higher).
• Operates on a recognised smartphone operating system (such as Android or iOS).
• Enables access to internet-based applications, including web browsing and app downloads.
• Has basic hardware capability sufficient for standard voice, messaging, and data usage.
• Excludes feature phones, tablets, wearable devices, and specialised enterprise or point-of-sale devices.

MTN reserves the right to determine device eligibility based on the above criteria.

2.2 Subscribers” means all MTN Customers that are eligible to take part in the J4U Valentine Promo.  
2.3 “Terms and Conditions” means this document, including any future amendments or annexes.

3. THE ORGANIZERS

The J4U VALENTINE PROMO is organized by Scancom PLC hereinafter referred to as “MTN”, and participation is subject to these Terms and Conditions.

4. ELIGIBILITY

4.1 Participation is open only to individuals who are 18 years and above.

4.2 MTN employees, vendors, agents, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in this promotion.

5.TERM

This promotion is valid from 1^st February 2026 to 10^th February 2026 or until otherwise communicated by MTN.

6. OFFER DETAILS

6.1 This promotion is open to active MTN Subscribers who own Entry-Level Smartphones and have purchased at least one J4U bundle in the last three (3) months and have an average total spend of GHS 200–300 over the last three-months period.

6.2 Eligibility for a prize is automatically triggered/determined by ranking. Subscribers will be ranked at the end of the promotion based on incremental revenue versus baseline during the promotion period.

6.3 Prizes are:
 • iPhone 14 Pro Max
 • Samsung Galaxy S23+

6.4 Prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or other products/services of MTN.
6.5 Winners will be contacted by MTN through the phone number used for the qualifying bundle purchase.

6.6 winning Subscriber will be contacted up to five (5) times within a one (1) week period. If the Winner cannot be reached after these attempts, the prize will be awarded to the next highest-ranked Subscriber. 6.7 Winners must claim their prize within one (1) month from the date of notification. Failure to claim the prize within this period will result in forfeiture of the prize, and MTN reserves the right to deal with the unclaimed prize as itdeems fit.
6.8 MTN reserves the right to verify the identity of all winners before prizes are awarded. Winners must be validly registered Subscribers with valid ID details associated with their SIM.
6.9 Details about the promotion mechanics will be communicated through SMS.

6.10 MTN will not be liable for any unsuccessful entries due to technical issues, network failure, or other reasons beyond its control.
6.11 The promotion duration may be changed at MTN’s sole discretion.
6.12 MTN reserves the right to suspend or terminate the promotion without prior notice in case of unforeseen circumstances or force majeure.

7. CHANGES

7.1 MTN reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
7.2 Any material changes will be communicated via the MTN website.
7.3 Continued participation in the promotion after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms and Conditions.
7.4 The promotion is provided “as is” and “as available”, and MTN makes no warranties regarding its operation, reliability, or error-free nature.

8. DISQUALIFICATION

MTN reserves the right to disqualify any Subscriber found to have participated using fraudulent means or to have tampered with the promotion mechanics.

9. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

9.1 By participating in the J4U VALENTINE PROMO, Subscribers agree that their personal data may be collected and used by MTN for the purposes of managing the promotion, contacting winners, and for promotional activities.
9.2 All personal data collected during this promo will be treated as private and confidential and in accordance with the Data Protection laws of Ghana.

9.3 By participating in the Promotion, winners agree to MTN’s use of their name, image, likeness, and/or any other relevant information for promotional, publicity, and marketing purposes related to the Promotion, without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

10. APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Ghana, and any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.
